Stepping Into Your Light
Stepping Into Your Light
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson
When I read this quote by Marianne Williamson, I am floored. Could this be true? Am I holding back my gifts because I’m afraid of success? Or maybe because I’m worried about what others might think of that success?
The truth is, I owe it to God, my family, and my community to fully step into who I am meant to be. And so do you. We have an obligation to use our gifts and talents, even when they seem small or insignificant to us.
You touch countless lives, often in ways you may never realize. Every day, as you strive to become the person you were created to be, you are making an impact for good. Don’t shrink back in fear or doubt. The world needs your light. And as you let it shine, you’ll inspire others to do the same.
